Maybe

maybe she just feels like
she's never good enough.
not a good enough friend,
not a good enough girl, not
a good enough sister, daughter,
student, athlete. and maybe
she's just sick of trying.
maybe she's
sick of crying

She's a disaster
she looses faith in herself everyday
Her life is a mess and she doesn't even care
no one understands her
And people say stuff to put her down and
no one even notices she might be breaking inside
Or they never notice that maybe she needs a hug from someone
or someone to sit there with her and listen to her
Maybe that’s all she needs
